Research Data Management Plan

Research Data Management Plans allow the social science researcher to manage data throughout the research life cycle. An RDMP ensures that all ethical research protocols are met in regards to collecting, managing, storage and sharing research data. When aligned with the FAIR principles RDMPs aid in the advancement of Indigenous Data Sovereignty as they are a reflection of best practices for data stewardship (TRI Agency, 2021). The social sciences researcher must follow all ethical protocols regarding intellectual property. RDMPs dictate how the data will be managed, collected and stored, illustrating the research steps and fore-seeable challenges that the social sciences researcher may face.
